I've been working with technology since the early days of my career, after graduating in Computer Science in 1993. Since then, I've seen the industry go through quite a few transformations — and I'm still fascinated by what's coming next.

Along the way, I also pursued postgraduate studies in Logistics and Neuroscience, which gave me different perspectives on systems, problem-solving, and how we think and make decisions.

Today, I work exploring how AI, automation, and intelligent agents can solve real-world problems.

I enjoy going beyond the hype, understanding how things actually work, experimenting with new technologies, and connecting the dots between technology, business, and human behavior.

That's what Salada de Dados is about: curiosity, practical experience, and a healthy dose of skepticism. No magic formulas, no unnecessary buzzwords — just interesting ideas, real experiments, and stories worth exploring.

How we work

What you can expect from every Salada de Dados article and video.

01Independence

  • Salada de Dados is independent. No company pays to appear in an article, and none reviews an article before it is published.
  • When there is a sponsorship, it will be labeled as such and kept apart from the content. Sponsors do not pick topics, change test results or decide the conclusions of an analysis.
  • Affiliate links, if any, are disclosed in the text.
  • If I have any relationship with a company, product or tool I mention — client, partnership, investment or my own product —, it is disclosed at the top of the article.

02Sources and use of AI

  • Numbers come with a source and a date, linked whenever the source is public. I prefer the original source — the company's report, the official document, the paper — to whoever quoted it.
  • When something could not be confirmed, the text says so.
  • I use AI to research, review and also to help draft. Every text goes through my own review and fact-checking before it is published, and no number goes in without checking its source.

03Experiment methodology

  • The question and how it will be measured are defined before running the experiment.
  • Code and data are public, with model and library versions, the number of runs and the cost, so anyone can reproduce it.
  • Results are published even when they contradict the hypothesis, together with the test's limitations.
  • Nothing is announced early: an experiment only becomes content after its results have been analyzed.

04Corrections

  • Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed.
